Hello everyone. This is my first blog and my first blog entry. I hope that those who view it will enjoy and be blessed by what is written here. The purpose of this blog is to proclaim my love for the Lord Jesus Christ by sharing with you what he is doing in my life and the lives of those I have the privilege to serve and live with daily.
Today we had a great time in church. The presence of the Lord was very palpable. Our worship leader and worship team sang the song "At The Cross". It is a contemporary worship song that tells of how Christ Jesus suffered for us all and made a way for us to have fellowship with God the Father. The bridge of the song goes, "you tore the veil, you made a way, when you said that it is done". It was at that moment in the song that I just lost it and began to cry tears of awe and joy.
To think that the creator of the universe loved you and me so much that He came here in the form of a man to suffer for us is more than I can comprehend. It is my prayer that you all have a blessed week as you go to work or school knowing that God goes before you to love and guide you where ever your journey in life takes you.

- Pastor Shannon W. Bowdoin
- Shannon has been serving in Christian ministry since 1994. Shannon felt the call to preach shortly after dedicating his life to following and serving the Lord. He began preaching at the Cloverleaf Church of God of Prophecy (where he recieved Christ as his personal savior in 1994). In 1995 Shannon and his family moved to the Oak Meadows Church of God of Prophecy where he served on the youth ministry team. Shannon was appointed to his first pastorate in June of 2000. He has also served as a Law Enforcement Officer. His pastorates include the Liberty Worship Center(Church of God of Prophecy)in Liberty Texas from June 2000 to July of 2005 as a bi-vocational pastor. He has also served the Bellshire Church of God of Prophecy in Nashville Tennessee from August 2005 to present. His Law Enforcement career started in March 1990 and lasted until he decided to enter into full-time Christian ministry in July 2005. Shannon is a graduate of North Shore Senior High School with some college from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He hopes someday to earn a degree related to leadership and ministry.

I too felt the tangible presence of the Lord Sunday morning, I just wish more people would give in to it and worship with abandon.
